TAG TUESDAY AND DIAMOND JUBILEE

Not surprisingly this weeks Tag Tuesday theme is Diamond Jubilee!
I found this wonderful stamp in my stash and decided it had to be used when I saw the words Jubilee Jamboree on it.
I really love the colour red, especially when it is used in small amounts as an accent colour - I think it has such an impact - so I decided to keep the tones of the tag fairly neutral in order to emphasize the stamp.  In order to stop it becoming too bland I also added one piece of bright red bunting.

After a Jubilee weekend full of fetes, picnics, fly-pasts, fireworks, a hog-roast, live music, aching feet and much, much more I am now off to watch the rest of the celebrations live on TV!

  2. Your tag couldn't be more perfect! It was meant to be that you didn't use that stamp until now. I too love a little red as an accent, especially in combination with the creams and taupes that you used.

I've been enjoying the Jubilee on TV - I'll never forget that the first time I was in England when I was very young was around the time of her silver jubilee...I still have a mug from it...

  5. Oh Diana, that's just perfect! The amount of red accent is exactly right. It's a beautiful tag, with the gorgeous state coach and the tiny touch of subtle bling!

Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog about my parents' anniversary card. They were thrilled with it! 65 years is such an achievement!

  6. PS Sorry - just noticed you'd left me another comment too! I'm so glad you like my fan - I must get that post uploaded... The Inktense pencils are just gorgeous. As for feeling better, I'm rubbish again today - but it's been great just resting in front of the TV and watching our wonderful Queen being appreciated by all her people - I got pretty emotional about it all! Wasn't it all just wonderful?

Happy WOYWW, even if you haven't actually signed up this week!!

  7. Thanks for your latest lovely comment, Diana - glad you like the detailed pics of the zentangles. At the moment I'm working on some more traditional "tile" type zentangles to be made up into cards for a craft show that's coming up.
