The Emergence of Spring

For WOYWW this week - four little teabags depicting the emergence of Spring.
I used some of the eco-printed papers I made and also a selection of printed fabric, sari silk, beads and lace.

  4. I love the beautifully subtle shades, Diana. I like the little insect stamps too. My round tea bags have the brand name embedded in them but covering them up with just the edges showing like this is a great way to make use of them. I may have a try and put one in my 'Play Time Journal'. It won't be as beautiful as yours though.

  7. You tea bag art is just so inspiring! I have actually dried out some tea bags and can't wait to play and see what happens, but I don't think it will be this beautiful. Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #49

  10. OMG Dianna your work is so beautiful and tea bags, it sure doesn't look like teabags to me. True works of art. I have a stack of lace doilies here and so much lace you would get the shakes seeing it all. Hope you have a wonderful week and thank you for sharing and visiting.

  15. Oh Diana, more absolutely exquisite work! I can see your garden through the seasons becoming a favourite theme. You inspire me to get on with my teabag art as soon as I am well enough - I am still too weak to do anything much and spending a lot of time resting.

I am so sorry to hear that you've had post-operative complications and I do hope it all clears up soon and that you will soon be without pain. You could well do without that!! I am doing pretty well apart from some skin irritation around the stoma which the stoma nurse has seen and hopefully will clear up soon. I had my histology results on Monday too, and the news isn't as good as I'd hoped. The cancer was very aggressive and had invaded all layers of the bowel wall, and spread to one lymph node. Although they took all that away, I have to have some chemotherapy and have my first oncology appointment on 5th May. I hope it will be only one course of oral chemo and that it won't make me feel too unwell as I feel I've had more than my fair share recently and just want to get back to some sort of normal life!!

No need to apologise for taking time to reply - I am equally guilty! I am taking a long time to catch up with all the wonderful messages I've received, and moderating loads of blog comments! It all takes time, especially when one isn't well, and I've had a lot of visitors too, including my best friend from school staying for several days immediately after my discharge. The computer had to take a back seat for several days!

  18. Thank you for your good wishes for my chemo, Diana - I am obviously not looking forward to it but I've just got to get through it, and remind myself that it's only temporary, and will be worth it if it does the job and mops up any rogue cells there might be. I do hope that today you are feeling better. Take care of yourself!
