Crafting Fun

Not much arty crafty stuff achieved this week, but a busy and happy week looking after my nephews now the school holidays are here, and also visiting Jan (our very own Lunch Lady!) for some crafty fun and lots of chat.
It was a fab day, made even better by seeing Julia too - so much chat and just a little bit of embroidery done on these half finished 'night garden' collages.
Thank you Jan!

I'm linking up with Julia over at WOYWW.

  1. Hi Diana, saw these first over on Jan's page absolutely divine. You might have guessed I'm struggling again, will be going back to GP if it doesn't let up after 10 days this time, certainly not waiting for day 21! BJ#9

  18. What gorgeous pieces, Diana, and lovely to see a work in progress. It sounds as if you had a great time with the girls!

Thank you for your lovely comment, and I'm glad you enjoyed reading about my mother of pearl experiments. I've applied the technique to my mystery project and it's looking great. After yesterday I'm feeling pretty stiff and sore, and it's an effort being conscious all the time of how I move my arms and do things - I feel a bit like a robot at the moment! It's going to take time for this to become natural, but it's worth the effort if it gives me healthier shoulders and reduces the risk of permanent damage. Our arms aren't designed for walking with, and after 9 years of crutch staggering and wheelchair zooming, it's coming home to roost now I'm 63!!

    Happy belated WOYWW,

  21. We are all going in posting order through the desk I guess, and Jan posted earlier than most of us. These are SO AMAZING! I love the layers. It makes me want to really learn embroidery. That's the trouble with these desk hops. I find my want to try list growing and growing, but my time keeps shrinking and shrinking. Have a terrific week. LisaDV #23
