Over at the fabulous Studio Sublime is a weekly photographic challenge that I have recently found - and this weeks prompt for a photo is 'food'. So I used that as the perfect excuse to buy this delicious home-made Dorset Apple Cake from a local stall.
I loved the way it was wrapped, with the pretty mint green ribbon - it almost looked too good to eat - but not quite!
I am also linking up with Mary over at Mosaic Monday.
Haven't had apple cake in a long time. This one looks delicious.
ReplyDeleteI can see why that cake spoke to you! Love your photos and how we can see the chunks of apple nestled in the cake. Hope it tasted as good as it looks!

MMm. Apple cake sounds wonderful. Love the packaging - a multi-sensory feast.
ReplyDeletegood photography is a challenge - and I like the way you have the narrow field of focus in the first shot, and the different views in the mosaic. Apple Cake - hmmm - haven't had one for ages. It is apple season here, I might have to make an Apple Cake!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week. I am linking up to you through Mosaic Monday.
Beautiful food photography--worth of a magazine cover. And this cake reminds me of an old, old recipe that I have for "Appledapple Cake"--uses both fresh apples and applesauce. Would be a big seller at the local fair!
ReplyDeleteI love apple cake (practically any cake actually!!!) but this one looks especially nice... love the wrapping :)
