I don't quite know what's happening out there but when I went to photograph my desk for WOYWW this morning I found bright sunlight streaming through the window - highly unusual but very welcome.
On the desk this week is my just-finished sketch and also on the back of the desk is a large furnishing fabric book - I was wondering if the swirly patterns of the fabric were pollen-like!
Here's the finished sketch - the beautiful little clock image is from my super-talented blog friend Terri over at Art-Life-Rust - thank you Terri!
Wow this project looks awesome, really love it.
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW.

Ah the sunshine rays across your desk are beautiful. Love your finished project, #100.
ReplyDeleteOh Diana... That page is just wonderful, so delicate, so beautifully proportioned. Love the pierced holes and the soft colours. Just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteLovely to see the rays of sunlight across your table. I'm sure you will make good use of the fabric samples book. A while back I got a couple of old wallpaper books but haven't used them yet. Some lovely textures in there! I see you've got your gel medium out and ready for use! My regular matt gel doesn't usually get put away these days!
Thank you for your lovely comment on my blog about my hubby's card. We both love all the Saxon stuff and the Staffordshire Hoard was a find indeed - and amazing that an ordinary metal detectorist like my hubby managed to find it! It's great that the hoard is remaining in Staffordshire now, too. We've got family up there so maybe one day we'll actually see it!
Thanks also, very much, for signing up to follow my blog! Really appreciate that!
Happy WOYWW,

I recognized the clock face right away - what a great use for it on your beautiful page. Your work often has such dreamy ethereal quality which I love. And thanks so much for the mention - I remember you referenced my blog once before, the first time you participated in Michelle Ward's Street Team challenge, and I was so excited and wanted to thank you, but then I got so distracted by your beautiful journal page (I still remember it, it was the Things I Love challenge) - that I forgot to...
ReplyDeleteLovely journal pages.

ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of pollen but I love your drawing of it, so delicate and interesting, AND not at all yellow like I envision all pollen everywhere being.
ReplyDeleteAll that sunshine has got you one beautiful page, congratulations on your magnificent creation.
