TAG TUESDAY AND BUNTING

The theme for Tag Tuesday this week is bunting.  With all the preparations for the Jubilee going on I think I have rather over-dosed on red, white and blue lately, so I decided to keep the colours simple and neutral.  I wanted to make a summery tag using grey, beige and black - a colour combination I particularly like but isn't very summery!   Here's the result, and there are many more tags over at Tag Tuesday.

  2. Lovely! It's a very cool and refreshing palette. I love your bunting and the whole sort of festive but low-key tone of the tag.

  4. Oh Diana, that is gorgeous... I think it's definitely summery! It has a lovely light, airy feel, with the bunting fluttering in the wind, and the greyscale colour scheme gives it a cool, vintage look. I love the music, too! I very much like the way you've put the row of bunting hanging from the bottom of the tag, too, giving a softer outline. It's really fabulous - a little gem. Tag making isn't something I've ever really done, but like ATCs, it's an opportunity to make little miniature works of art!

Thank you for your lovely comment on my blog about "La Bella" - glad you like her! The whole essence of zentangle is how simple it is to build up - "one stroke at a time." What I do isn't strictly zentangle which is little abstract pieces done on "tiles" which do not require any drawing skills, but I like to take it further and make "zentangle art."

I've got new Inktense pencils coming tomorrow - for my birthday from my dear hubby! Can't wait!!!

  5. Just spotted your other comment on my blog, Diana - thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed your virtual tour of the Exeter Museum. It certainly is a brilliant place to visit! I could have taken literally hundreds more photos... I'm not so keen on the creepy crawlies, though.

I did 2 terms of Honiton lace and found it a pretty unfulfilling experience! My god-daughter has done the "rope" sort of lace lol and did very well at it. Perhaps I should give that a try one day! I don't think my eyes are up to Honiton any more either... Boring, isn't it. Need a magnifier for fine work these days.

  6. Ooohhh, I love it. That old-fashioned amusement park feeling I just adore... I just love the pallet, and the butterfly and the quote. So thoughtfully and creatively done as always...
